Elevator and Escalator Electrical Equipment ASME A17.5

This standard covers the requirements which apply for the following electrical equipment: elevators, escalators, moving walks, dumbwaiters, material lifts, and elevating devices for persons with physical disabilities such as platform lifts and stairway chairlifts, motor controllers, motion controllers, operation controllers, operating devices, and all other electrical equipment not listed/certified and labelled/marked according to another product safety standard or code.
